The end of the year is approaching, we are at Christmas and Blue Pen, as I already mentioned some time ago, is on duty during the holidays. For the last day of the year there will be a classic post, about the best that appeared here during 2014, but I decided to make it a little different than usual. New Year's Day opens, as usual, with the famous 3 words. Old readers will remember them, I hope, and new ones will discover what it's about. A mini series of 2 posts on blogging and content for 2015 will be released right after the holidays. But the end of the year also brings us to take a look at what we have done during the twelve months and so I wanted to take stock of what I have done and how, based on the mistakes and small successes, you can also do you a budget. Of course in terms of writing and blogging.
Creative writing: an assessment Only 7 stories appeared on the blog this year. Few, to tell the truth. I don't want to turn the blog into an anthology, but about one a month is fine. Why so few? Because I Phone Number Datastarted PU, which after more than a year still doesn't reach 50% of the first draft. Too slow. In fact, I interrupted it twice, thinking of abandoning it and dedicating myself to a simpler novel, but then something clicked and I picked it up again. Then, in mid-August, I had the idea for a book on blogging, something that doesn't exist out there. Years ago, I had already written a book on creating and managing a blog, which a publisher first accepted and then rejected, but this is different. So I started writing it and it's almost finished.
I would like to finish it by the end of the year, at the beginning of January at the latest, then a month to settle and proceed with the revision. And then by sending it to a publisher. And the other book on blogging? That will be taken up and completely rewritten and, after editing, will be sold in self-publishing. What does 2015 have in store for my creative writing? First I have to finish that novel. Absolutely. Then, to tell the truth, I didn't make any plans. Ideas for new stories keep coming, I write them down somewhere, but a birth must also lead to an embryo that develops into a complete individual. I don't want to make any plans until I finish that novel. Once finished, before the revision, I will analyze the various ideas and notes taken for the other stories and I will choose the one that I am most passionate about at that moment.
